Institute for Nonprofit Management & Leadership
Mission
The mission of of the Institute for Nonprofit Management & Leadership (INML) is to educate and
connect the next generation of nonprofi t leaders. Its cornerstone is the Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership
Program; the Institute also conducts research and supports a burgeoning network of practitioners
through fellowships, teaching and mentoring opportunities, and access to university-based
resources.
The Institute is designed to meet the needs of new and emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector with a special emphasis on individuals who are dedicated to leading social impact organizations in urban settings or working with underserved populations, youth-serving organizations and social justice organizations.
The Institute is supported through generous grants from the Boston Foundation and the Amelia Peabody Foundation.
Certificate Program
New Class Starts October 6, 2009
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program, which is housed in the School of Management's Executive Leadership Center, supports an alumni network of program participants, mentors, fellows and eventually the next generation of nonprofit leaders. This network is developed throughout the duration of the program and is strengthened as participants continue to work together in the nonprofit community. The Program graduated its first pilot class of 14 in 2008 and has a current enrollment of 32 participants.
