Beyond the Classroom
Regular and special events also provide chances to kick back and socialize. The monthly “Cheers with Professors” lets graduate students and faculty enjoy the variety of local brews at nearby sites. At the annual MBA Spring Gala, students put away their books for a night of formal dress and dancing. Other activities include ski trips, MBA golf tournaments, dinner cruises, and more.
Boston, the most European of American cities, is many things to those who study here, but above all, Boston is a vibrant city defined by unparalleled cultural, ethnic, and social diversity. Boston is an evening stroll through Beacon Hill. A morning row on the Charles River. Opening Day at Fenway Park. Tracing the steps of the American Revolution along the Freedom Trail. High-end shopping on Newbury Street. People-watching at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Dancing the night away on Landsdowne Street. Al fresco dining in the North End. While it’s called the “Athens of America” because of its many academic institutions and commitment to intellectual curiosity, the city is more than just the sum of its colleges and universities. And you’ll be just a short walk, subway, or cab ride from all of it.
