Video: Mark Williams on the Billion Dollar “Fat Finger” Error

Boston University School of Management’s Mark Williams, master lecturer in finance as well as a School of Management alumnus (MBA ’93), appeared as the featured guest on Yahoo! Finance on May 7, 2010, to discuss the near-1,000-point plunge of the stock market, rumored to have been caused by a “fat finger” trader error.

Electronic trading “had a role, but I don’t think it was front and center” in causing the market collapse, Williams says.  Watch the full segment here:
