International Students

Boston University and the School of Management are committed to helping our international students understand the legal and cultural intricacies of working in the US.

The Feld Career Center has a dedicated international counselor who offers the following specialized support:

  • Workshops designed to address specific challenges facing international students
  • One-on-one coaching on US business practices, hiring procedures, and job search strategies
  • Practical strategies for coping with cultural differences in the workplace, keeping you aware of the different attitudes and values that might pose barriers to your job search

In addition, a three part series is offered to help this group with the cultural transition into the American job market. These sessions include panel discussions by experienced international second year and MBA alumni who have successfully bridged the transition into corporate American internships and full-time employment. This series is also co-organized by the Asian Business Club, where a social networking hour is organized following the session.

On every other Friday, lunchtime gatherings are held for International MBA's who want to connect and talk about job searching and developing best practice job search and interview strategies.

Plan Ahead! Please familiarize yourself with this Recruiting Timeline so you don't miss out on your preferred industry.
