Financial Aid and scholarships
Graduate education is a significant investment in your future. Although the returns are immeasurable, business school is a venture that should be planned carefully and strategically. The long-term financial obligation of graduate education requires sound budget planning. We encourage you to begin preparation far in advance of applying. Our goal is to help you reach your educational goals by assisting and guiding you through your financial aid process.
For EMBA students who are paying in part or whole for their own tuition, there are two alternatives for financing:
- Federal Direct Stafford Loans
- Alternative Financing Options
For more information see Financing Your Education.
The Boston University Executive MBA Program will award up to five Dean’s Scholarships in the amount of $5000 each. Selection for these Dean’s Scholarships is highly competitive and will be based on merit and/or need. Academic and career achievements will also be considered with preference given to those who are self-financing some or all of their EMBA education.
To be eligible for these scholarships, you must apply by October 15, 2008 and include in your application an essay (1-3 pages, double spaced) addressing the following topic:
Why should you be awarded a Dean’s Scholarship?
If you have any questions on these scholarships, please contact the EMBA office directly.
Federal Direct Stafford Loans
The Federal Direct Stafford Loan Program provides low-interest loans to US citizens and US permanent residents pursuing graduate education. The maximum loan eligibility is $18,500 per academic year.
Alternative Financing Options
US citizens, permanent residents, and international students can finance business school with private education loans. US citizens and permanent residents who qualify as credit-worthy do not require cosigners. International students, however, must apply with a creditworthy US citizen or permanent resident with a US-based address.
