Experiential Learning
The EMBA faculty keeps the curriculum relevant, interactive, and tangible with:
- Live case application of academic theory to the business world
- Business simulations
- Role playing and other experiential exercises
- Journaling
Experiential Business Simulation
Business simulations provide you with the chance to work through management challenges in a controlled learning environment.
For instance, you'll participate in the interactive ProfitAbility game as an introduction to Business as a System. This game helps you see—and experience—the critical interdependencies between functional groups, creating the chance to apply practical solutions to a real-life management situation.
Experiential Exercises
EMBA faculty promote "learning by doing" in a variety of ways. For example, they model team collaborations and business negotiations during in-class exercises, and they introduce a variety of self-awareness and career-assessment techniques. The goal is to give you tools you can apply immediately in your current work situation.
Journaling
Journaling helps you enhance your professional development by keeping a personal record of your educational journey. By keeping track of management activities and decisions, and the impact they have on your organization, you can tie your experience in the classroom directly to your work environment.
