The EMBA Capstone Project

EMBA students get the opportunity to put the curriculum into action in a global context during the capstone project, which provides the focus for the international seminar during Residence Week 4.

Capstone provides hands-on experience:

  • Making business contacts abroad
  • Conducting research on countries and industries overseas
  • Pulling together—quickly and efficiently—a high-performing team

During Capstone, teams develop an international business plan addressing all aspects of business, including:

  • Product design and service
  • Organizational structure
  • Market and competitive analysis
  • Cultural, legal, and regulatory issues

Recent capstone projects include:

  • Citigolf: Indoor golf instruction and practice facility in Dublin
  • Easy Rider Transport: Transportation services to corporate employees in Ireland
  • Eco-Lube: Mobile oil change in Hungary
  • HealthCzech: Wellness and work site health assessment in the Czech Republic
  • Navigator Brewpub: Craft-brewing "brewpub" in Buenos Aires
  • Radex Teleradiology: Interpretations of x-rays and radiographs from remote sites in Argentina
