Professional Evening MBA Curriculum

We offer two pathways to complete the 64 credit Professional Evening MBA: the Cohorted and Self-Paced MBA tracks.

Cohorted

Are you looking for an instant network of classmates? The Professional Evening Cohorted program comes as close as you can get to a full-time experience without actually being full-time. It begins as a cohorted program, which means you take your first five core courses with the same group of students.

Pace: You complete most of your course of study at the same rate as your cohort: typically two courses a term, three terms a year.

Sequence: You take your first five core courses in sequence with your cohort. You may begin taking electives as soon as your first summer. Your advisor will help you choose a configuration of electives or a concentration that fits your personal and career goals.

Timing: Most Cohorted students graduate in three years.

Self-Paced

Do you want an evening program that you can plan on a semester-by-semester basis? The Self-Paced program offers a high level of flexibility in configuring your program.

Pace: You determine the pace and vary it from term to term. Most students choose to take two courses a semester at a time during at least part of the program. Courses are available year-round.

Sequence: While we recommend you follow the prescribed core sequence, you’re not required to. You may begin taking electives as soon as your first semester if you have satisfied the prerequisites. Your advisor will help you choose a configuration of electives or a concentration that fits your personal and career goals.

Timing: You can take up to six years to complete the degree. Most self-paced students graduate in 3.5-4 years. You may choose to take a temporary leave of absence during your program, but for no longer than two consecutive years.

Program Start Date

Both the Cohorted and Self-Paced Professional Evening programs begin in September. In January, we admit an additional self-paced class.
