Join us for MBA Connect Weekend!

November 1 – 2, 2013

Meet our students, faculty and staff through interactive sessions focused on the representation of underrepresented minority, women, LGBT and military students in business school.

Learn how to prepare a competitive MBA application, participate in a mock class, engage in a career management workshop, and more. Please see below for details about the agenda and travel accommodations.

This day is hosted in conjunction with student groups including the Black and Latin American MBA Association (BLAMBAA), Latin American MBA Association (LAMBAA), Asian Business Club, Women’s MBA Association, Cohort Q, and Veterans Association.

Schedule of Events

Friday, November 1

  • Conduct an admissions interview
  • Tour the School of Management facilities
  • Tour the Boston University campus
  • Network through social activities with current MBA students

Saturday, November 2

  • Participate in a mock class and career management workshop
  • Learn how to prepare a competitive MBA application
  • Meet leaders of student clubs including the Black and Latin American MBA Association (BLAMBAA), Latin American MBA Association (LAMBAA), Asian Business Club, Women’s MBA Association, Cohort Q, Veterans Association, and Graduate Student Council
  • Learn about the MBA programs at the Boston University School of Management
  • Meet School of Management students, alumni, faculty and staff during breakfast, lunch and dinner

 

Travel Information

For guests visiting from outside the Greater Boston area, we invite you to spend Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at Hotel Commonwealth. You can reserve a room when completing your online registration for the Open House. Please note that your room reservation must be received by Friday, October 11.

The Boston University School of Management will provide a travel stipend of $125 if your train or flight costs $200 or more. To qualify you must enter Boston no earlier than Friday, November 1, 2013 and depart from Boston no later than Sunday evening, November 3, 2013. To receive a reimbursement, please email us your receipt of travel purchases by Friday, October 18.

If you plan to drive, parking will be available in the School of Management garage. Please request parking when you register. Breakfast and lunch will be provided (please email us should you have any dietary restrictions).
