MBA Reunion 2009: Directions

If you’re attending the evening Cocktail Reception and Dinner:

Parking will be available in the SMG Garage at 595 Commonwealth Avenue at the alumni discount rate of $6. The only scenario that would change availability of parking at SMG would be the potential for World Series games at Fenway Park.  We will update this information as necessary.

Driving Directions

From South or West: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East to Exit 18, Brighton/Cambridge.  Exit left.  Follow signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights.  Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive.  Exit Storrow Drive at the Kenmore exit.  Follow Local Directions below. 

From Southeast: Take I-93/Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) North to Boston.  Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26).  Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit. Follow Local Directions below. 

From North: Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston.  Exist onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26).  Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit. Follow Local Directions below. 

From the North Shore/Logan Airport: Take Route 1-A through the Sumner Tunnel.  Follow signs onto the Expressway (93) North.  Take the Back Bay/Storrow Drive exit (Exit 26), and follow signs onto Storrow Drive.  Continue on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore exit. Follow Local Directions below. 

Local Directions from the Kenmore Square/Commonwealth Avenue exit off of Storrow Drive: At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Beacon Street.  At this point, the road forks; the right fork is Bay State Road and the left fork will take you into Kenmore Square.  Take the left fork.  Once you are in the Square, bear right onto Commonwealth Avenue.  Go through the set of lights.  The Boston University School of Management will be the large, red brick building on the right-hand side.  Parking garage is located underneath the School building.

Public Transportation

Boston University is easily accessible by public transportation.  The “B” branch of the MBTA Green Line passes through the campus along Commonwealth Avenue.  The School of Management is located at the Blandford Street stop.  Directions are:

Red Line: Take the Red Line train to Park Station; transfer to the Green Line “B” Train.

Blue Line (including Logan Airport): Take the Blue Line to Government Center; transfer to the Green Line “B” Train.

Orange Line: Take the Orange Line train to Downtown Crossing; follow the underground concourse to the Green Line Park Street Station, then board the “B” Train.

Green Line:

• From Lechmere, Science Park, North Station or Haymarket—Take any train to Government Center and transfer to the “B” Train.
• From the Suburban “C” (Cleveland Circle) or “D” (Riverside) Lines—Take any train Inbound to Kenmore Square and change to the Outbound platform and board the “B” Train.
• From the “E” (Heath Street) Line—Take any train Inbound to Arlington Station and change to the Outbound platform and board the “B” Train.
