Why SMG students study abroad
SMG students study abroad for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, the following:
- To strengthen proficiency in another language.
- To experience different perspectives on the world, education, and management practices.
- To gain a competitive advantage in the job market by demonstrating an awareness of a culture beyond their own and of the global economy.
To accommodate this desire to explore the world, Boston University sponsors one of the largest study abroad programs in the country, with diverse offerings in more than thirty cities on six continents.
How SMG students study abroad
Courses taken and internships completed through BU Study Abroad transfer to BU directly, counting for course requirements as appropriate and toward students’ BU GPAs. If students cannot find a program above that piques their interest, they can choose to complete their non-management electives abroad through one of many other BU Study Abroad programs.
For more information on study abroad opportunities, please contact the School of Management Undergraduate Program Office at smgupo@bu.edu or 617-353-2650.
