HONORS PROGRAM
About the Program
The Management Honors Program is designed for our most academically talented students -- students who want to be molded into the next generation of outstanding organizational leaders.
The Program is demanding but flexible. Unlike other honors programs, ours does not seek to separate but to integrate students into the curriculum. There are separate colloquia and seminars which are requirements for the program, but they are taken during the regular academic semesters.
During the first two years, Honors Program students who begin the program in their freshman year take two colloquia, one specialized course (SM 224), and at least one seminar. The colloquia are uniquely for freshmen. The course, SM 224, is only for sophomores and students may begin taking seminars their sophomore year. All sections are small and faculty teach at an advanced level.
Students have special extracurricular resources at their disposal. Monthly dinner meetings, social events, and special academic advisors are just a few of the dedicated resources. The social and cultural events take advantage of the outstanding location the University and city have to offer.
The Program is flexible, so students can choose options such as double concentrations, minors, dual degrees, or study abroad.
Our students continue to distinguish themselves inside and outside the classroom, through superb academic performance, service to the community, and participation in a broad array of student activities.
