Accounting Association
Bridging the gap between the academic and professional worlds, the Accounting Association sponsors events that bring the industry into the classroom and that take the concentrator into the community. Event highlights include: Student internship panels and company information sessions, and EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit Campaign) Program: The IRS trains students to provide tax preparation services to qualified Boston area families. Alpha Kappa Psi
Established in 1904 (co-ed since 1976), Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the country. American Marketing Association

APICS- The Association for Operations Management
The organization fosters interest and support for Operations Management student at Boston University School of Management. This will be done by having industry speakers, participating in field visits, and networking events. Beta Alpha Psi
A national scholastic and professional services fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi recognizes scholastic and professional excellence; studies and practices professional services including accounting, finance, and information systems; creates opportunities for association with practicing professionals; and shares a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. Events highlights include: Walk for Diabetes – fundraising and participation, Meet the Firms Networking Event, and VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). BSBA Finance & Investment Club
The BSBA Finance and Investment Club offers all students at Boston University an insight into the world of finance and an opportunity to learn by practical experience. Comprehensive analysis is conducted by meeting with company executives, analyzing their companies, and reporting to their board members. Club members interact with professionals in the field of finance to discuss career paths and establish long-term working relationships between corporations and the university. The Club hosts interactive tutorials that explore topics to an extent above and beyond the undergraduate and even the MBA level. They also host a credited directed study in which students manage and optimize a real money portfolio. Members graduate full of hands-on experience and with a network of contacts within the industry. BSBA Private Equity Club
The BSBA Private Equity Club was founded to stimulate student interest in a booming profession offering lucrative salaries, and to help students obtain knowledge about the industry through guest speakers (professors and industry experts), current events articles, major player analysis, simulation of a leveraged buyouts, research, and social events, and possibly a field trip ( i.e. conferences at Wharton, Tuck, or Stern and Dinner networking event). B-School Beanpot
The B-School Beanpot is Boston’s premiere forum for competitive business case analysis on the collegiate level, attended by teams from Babson, Bentley, Boston University, MIT, Northeastern, and Suffolk University. The B-School Beanpot serves as a forum for future business leaders to showcase their talents and determines the “best of the best” in Beantown. Corporate Law Society
The Corporate Law Society is an organization dedicated to the study of business law. The organization sponsors various law panels and offers members exclusive discussions with industry professionals; includingpartners at some of the country's most prestigious law firms.The organization alsohosts a mock trial, as well as open forum discussions throughout the semester on current legal issues and cases. Together this organization stands to advance the movement of diversity throughout the management community. Fashion and Retail Association
The Fashion and Retail Association of Boston University (FAB) is the single outlet for BU students who are interested in the design, marketing, public relations, retail, publishing and management aspects of the fashion industry. fightJPA
fightJPA is dedicated to raising $1 million dollars to fund research for Juvenile Piliocytic Astrocytoma (JPA), the most common form of childhood brain tumor. Through community outreach and fundraising events, fightJPA has raised over $15,000 to date. The funds raised are directed to The Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation, an all volunteer 501©R non-profit.
International Management Organization

Leaders for Corporate Social Responsibility
Leaders for Corporate Social Responsibility (LCSR) is devoted to promoting ethical and responsible practices in the business world. They try to counter the illusion that all SMG students and corporations are driven solely by a profit motive, preferring instead to foster ideas such astriple bottom lines, not-for-profit industries, and charitable work. As a club, they balance community service and volunteering with activities that speak to our management education, such as listening to speakers, attending CSR conferences, and reviewing case studies. LOCK Honorary Service Society
LOCK is the oldest student organization at SMG, established in 1924 by Professor Charles Stratton and Lyman Phillips; Dean Lataif is also a former member. LOCK was founded and still operates on the belief that those who have the privilege of scholarship must share what they have gained. LOCK members aim to fulfill that responsibility by providing their peers in SMG with tutoring help in all required SMG courses, as well as a free cover letter review service in collaboration with the Feld Career Center. The Management Consulting Association (BUMCA) provides a forum for students to learn more about the consulting industry and to acquire the skills necessary for a career in consulting. Management Information Systems Club
The MIS club will help unite and create a forum between students, alumni, faculty, and recruiters interested in the field of Information Systems Management. The purpose of the group is to promote the awareness of Information Systems and provide an opportunity for collaboration between members. We will focus on: 1) inviting companies to campus to talk about different careers, 2) creating scholarship opportunities, and 3) establishing and maintaining relationships with companies who hire MIS students. Media and Entertainment Club
The Media and Entertainment Club is an organization for students interested in the entertainment industries. The club provides a forum for students to network with professionals, participate and assist in the organization of local events, and learn about potential internships and career opportunities in the various fields. Real Estate Club
The Real Estate Club seeks to give students an understanding of the Real Estate Industry by discussing topics such as land development, construction, architecture, financing, property management, and the relationships that can turn an empty plot of earth into a new building. Guest speakers attend meetings to discuss their roles in the Real Estate Industry, and occasional outings to a building or construction site are also scheduled. Sports Management Association
The Sports Management Association was created to give all students the chance to experience sports from a different perspective. They will offer students of any year, both graduate and undergraduate, the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and learn about the management aspects of professional sports through guest speakers, sports venue tours, attending/volunteering for sporting events, and discussion panels. Students in Free Enterprise
The Students In Free Enterprise are dedicated to develop community outreach projects that embrace SIFE's five educational topics: Market Economics, Success Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and Business Ethics. We are starting off the Fall 2007 semester with a clean slate and we are looking for enthusiastic students and new ideas to revive our organization. Membership involves active participation in helping communities in each of these five areas.
